I finally got my computer back after a week. Actually I got a different computer and I've had to transfer all the files over and begin downloading all the software. Spent most of the morning dealing with critical items, and I'm finally free to take a late lunch before I return to deal with the backlog.

At our monthly neighborhood association meeting, we had 2 the 2 city council candidates for the district 8 runoff election came to answer voter questions. Our TN State House rep was there as well

The questions that were being asked were good questions, but there was a lot of finger pointing to the mayor or county commission or the county school ( Read more... )

Ok, I've been sniffing around online to look at primary and secondary sources. Most of what I've dug up are from old photo archives and youtube footage of 50's rock movies such as untamed youth (which really shows swing music-which I really miss after watching it)

Well, as promised,  I took the street cleaning kit out on a test run!

I was out there for about an hour and half.

I managed to collect:

• a kitchen sized trash bag full of litter,  
• a big-ass blister on my left hand,
• sore calf muscles, 
• a sore right elbow and
• grass stains on the knees of my jeans. (I slid a bit on an embankment of the creek near my house)

Our Community Association voted to have an oldies dance for our spring event and the sewing club is really getting into it!

They have all been cutting out poodle skirts (me included).
